Biography | The All-On-4 and All-On-6 comprehensive methods are modern approaches to restoring a full dentition using implants. The main difference between them is the number of implants used: the first uses four implants, while the second uses six. All-On-4 is especially suitable for patients with sufficient bone volume, where the implants are installed at an angle to bypass important anatomical structures and ensure reliable fixation of the prosthesis. This method is often used in the lower jaw, where the bone tissue is denser and can provide stability of the structure with fewer implants. The All-On-6 protocol, in turn, provides a more uniform distribution of the load on the jaw, which is especially important for patients with long dental arches or severe bone atrophy. The use of six implants improves the stability and durability of the structure, which reduces the risk of fracture or loosening of the prosthesis. In addition, this method can be used to correct jaw defects and bite correction, making it a more universal solution for complex clinical cases. One of the key advantages of both methods is the ability to immediately load the prosthesis, which allows patients to quickly return to normal life and function with new teeth just a few days after the surgery. However, the All-On-6 protocol is usually more expensive due to the larger number of implants and the complexity of the procedure. At the same time, it provides a higher degree of fixation of the prosthesis and can be recommended for patients with more pronounced bone tissue problems. The choice between All-On-4 and All-On-6 depends on the individual indications and contraindications of each patient. Resorption – the process of bone volume reduction, which can limit the use of the All-On-4 method – is not a significant obstacle for All-On-6, since it allows for the installation of implants in deeper layers of bone. Ultimately, the decision on the choice of method should be made in conjunction with a qualified implant dentist who will assess the condition of the bone tissue and the general health of the patient. |
